Purpose of the Position
Under the general guidance of the Representative, you will be responsible for overall coordination, planning, development, and management of a resource mobilization and partnership strategy to engage relevant partners, raise the necessary funds, and support accountability of transparent contribution management. The Resource Mobilization and Partnership Manager will be responsible for the analysis and management of the relationship with private and global partners and of all fundraising channels and activities, ensuring engaged and long-term partnerships, as well as flexible and unrestricted resources for the Brazil Country Office.

Key Expected Results
1. You will provide leadership and direction in developing UNICEF Brazil’s overall Resource Mobilization and Partnerships strategy and implementation frameworks focused on private sector partners (including private individuals and corporations in Brazil) and global partners (including bilateral agencies and National Committees). Provide guidance and direction for planning, implementation, research and analysis of fundraising and building partnerships with global and private partners.

a) develop the pledge fundraising, with priority on the recruitment of pledge donors and the development of a pledge donor management programme to maximise pledge donor retention

b) assist and guide the Fundraising Officers and the Licensing Officer in the development of current fundraising and licensing channels, looking for new opportunities to increase income, specifically with a focus on developing the use of digital platforms such as websites, emails and SMS

c) develop effective high value corporate alliances.

2. You will take an active role in identifying, approaching and negotiating partner relationships with corporations, foundations and wealthy individuals who may potentially become major donors to UNICEF in Brazil. Design/develop concepts for partners’ engagement activities in conjunctions with programme and communications officers.

3. You will provide leadership and supervision to the Resource Mobilization and Partnership team for all fundraising activities (including private individuals, corporations and global partners). Lead the development of annual workplan and budget, that must be in line with the strategies, and monitors compliance of the Resource Mobilization Section within UNICEF financial rules and policies. Identify training requirements to meet staff development needs to meet objectives of the Resource Mobilization and Partnership Section.

4. You will represent UNICEF in meetings with key partners to advocate and promote UNICEF programme goals and objectives, communicate on organizational policies and maintain and strengthen relationships. Follow up on the implementation of recommendations and agreements.Represents the Resource Mobilization and Partnership Section at the Country Management Team and serves as focal point for field offices and sections to: develop funding proposals and partnerships, coordinate corporate engagement activities, manage the relationship with global and corporate partners, ensure timeliness and quality of donor reports, plan and carry out partner visits when necessary, promote dialogue and information exchanges, particularly in light of policy decisions that affect UNICEF relationship with all partners at a local and global level.

5. You will ensure effective supervision to the Cards & Gifts activities, supporting the transition process to the new business model and the negotiation with licensing partners.

Qualifications of Successful Candidate
Advanced university degree or in Business Administration, Marketing, management, Communications, Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, Public Health, Education, or other related fields.

Eight years of professional work experience at the national and international levels with progressively increasing responsibilities in Fundraising. Fundraising experience is essential. Large experience in fundraising with individual donors and understanding of corporate social responsibility is an asset.

Fluency in English and knowledge in Portuguese or Spanish required.
