Description

VGM Partners LLC is looking for an expert for the following EC Framework project in Malawi:

PROJECT NAME: Technical audits to be performed during implementation of spot improvement works under the Rural Feeder Road Programme in Malawi

Global objective: The objective of the technical audit is to provide a factual report on the works/services carried out by the 6 contractors in charge of the works and the consultant in charge of the associated supervision, with regard to the organizational, technical, contractual and financial aspects, during the implementation of the project.

POSITION: Junior Road Engineer

Qualifications and skills:

  • A civil engineer with at least a four-year post-secondary qualification ;
  • He/She will have preferably complementary fields of expertise to the Team leader, such as health and safety and/or environment impact assessment and/or rural road development and/or knowledge of Malawian context;
  • General experience of at least five (5) years in infrastructure construction;
  • Experience in audit of works contract;
  • Experience in developing countries;
  • A very good knowledge of written and spoken English language.
