Warehousing and Logistics Officer

Position required: Warehousing and Logistics Officer

Report To: Procurement and Fleet Manager

Overall Role: The post holder will be expected to be efficient and cost-effective in facilitating planning, requisitioning, receipt and issuing of all products and equipments in a manner that ensures accountability and integrity of stock management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory both physically and in the Inflow system
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts between inflow, issued documents and physical;
  • Monitoring of goods being supplied from Suppliers & MSK support warehouse to the clinics;
  • Reduce the company’s exposure to obsolescence risk by producing monthly reports to highlight suppression’s and obsolescence and taking steps with operations to reduce losses;
  • Monitor center requirements to ensure optimum stocks are maintained across the branch network;
  • Receive all purchased goods as per the authorized purchase orders and update inflow system on real time basis while ensuring that supplier documentation is completed;
  • Ability to work conscientiously and independently
Qualifications:
  • Education -University degree in Business or related field.
  • Professional -Postgraduate Diploma in Supplies and Purchasing Management
  • Associate member of KISM (Kenya Institute of supplies management)
  • Experience - 3 years procurement experience in a service organization.
  • Personal attributes - Must be of high integrity, aggressive with excellent communication skills, a team player, ability to perform under pressure, results oriented with excellent analytical skills, Initiative, and commitment to personal growth
  • Knowledge of an automated inventory control system will be an added advantage
