STAP-DIRECTOR SHARED SERVICES MANILA, PHILIPPINES

CARE is seeking an experienced Director, Shared Services, to be responsible for the initial and ongoing leadership of CARE’s shared services center, including staffing and structure, monitoring and evaluation, and long- & short-range planning. S/he will establish customer service and performance standards, and will monitor & adjust as necessary to ensure a consistently high level of service and communication with clients. The director will stay abreast of business & technology trends and information, and will ensure that the function remains compliant and aligned with CARE’s strategies as well as any statutory requirements.
The director will also be responsible for ensuring that CARE’s global financial management systems remain viable and are effectively utilized by relevant CARE members. The director will ensure compliance across CARE’s finance and grants operations with the organizational control framework and applicable laws and regulations.
The director must have a strong ability to build high-performing teams in a variety of cultures, and a good understanding of CARE’s financial management operations and their interrelationship with program and program support.
The director will report to the C/USA Chief Financial Officer.

Required:
· 8+ years of leadership experience in an organization similar to CARE
· Significant multicultural/international leadership experience
· Prior knowledge of CARE’s financial operations or extensive knowledge of another major international non-profit financial operations
· Proven skills in strategy development and implementation, administration, operational management, and budget administration
· Ability to define and measure appropriate metrics in order to set and manage performance standards
· Strong communication skills, with ability to clearly communicate priorities to the function and the rest of the organization, and to build a culture of excellence
· Ability to positively manage relationships at a distance, particularly with CARE International’s headquarters offices, regional management offices, and country offices
· Knowledge and understanding of operational processes within CARE country offices and headquarters throughout CI
· Expertise in team building and motivation, particularly across cultures
· Proven skills in problem identification, isolation and resolution
· Understanding of CARE’s human resources policies and practices
Desired:
· 10+ years of leadership experience in an organization similar to CARE
· Experience in leading an out-sourcing function
· Experience in start-up operations
· Experience in organizational change leadership
· Working knowledge of at least one language in addition to English, preferably French, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese.
· Ability to network within the industry to leverage partnerships for shared knowledge and services.
