Business Development Intern

Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is seeking a Business Development Intern in our Washington, DC office.

Our Business Crown Agents USA, Inc. (CA-USA) is a U.S. incorporated international development company providing direct supply chain services, technical assistance and training to improve governance and economic growth. CA-USA is part of the Crown Agents international group, which works for the public and private sectors in more than 100 countries, as well as for international donors and development institutions. Crown Agents has a core staff of over 700 employees in more than 33 countries.

Roles & Responsibilities As a CA-USA Business Development Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, build your network, and gain hands-on knowledge in government contracting, international affairs, and business development in a global market.

General duties include but are not limited to the following: •Undertake research and contribute to reports, papers, and presentations •Attend meetings and briefings and prepare meeting notes as required •Aid the department in special projects which include: (a) Create press releases stories on current project successes (b) Conduct market research on international development trends (c) Develop competitor/partner analysis (d) Create articles for CA-USA’s internal and external website in support of our Knowledge Management initiative (e) Attend and report on external events related to international development (f) Assist in proposal development i.e. copy editing, production, etc. •Provide minimal administrative support (less than 30%) to the department •Other activities as assigned by the department

Qualifications •As an unpaid position, Interns must be able to obtain course credit from a 2-4 year accredited college or university •Excellent research, writing and organizational skills •Interest and academic studies and/or previous work experience focused on international development and/or business administration •Familiar with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint •Organized, motivated and responsible individual •Website Design or publications/communications experience is a plus
