VICE-PRESIDENT (CORPORATE SERVICES)
AND BANK SECRETARY
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has a great opportunity for a Vice-President (Corporate Services) and Bank Secretary [VP (CS) & Bank Secretary] who will provide strong leadership, innovative and visionary management and oversight to the Corporate Services functions. He/she will also guide the Bank in the management of external relations with member countries, donors, other stakeholders and strategic partners.
CDB is a multilateral Development Bank that collaborates with its Borrowing Member Countries (BMCs) to promote sustainable social and economic development, economic cooperation and regional integration.
The Role
Reporting directly to the President, the VP (CS) & Bank Secretary will provide guidance to the relevant Department Directors and Unit Managers, ensuring the provision of efficient and cost-effective corporate services. The VP (CS) & Bank Secretary is responsible for the Corporate Services Area which comprises the following departments and units:
· Finance and Corporate Planning Department
· Human Resources and Administration Department
· Information and Technology Solutions Department
· Legal Department.
· Communications Unit
· Bank Secretary’s Unit
Candidates must be nationals of one of CDB’s Borrowing Member Countries. The successful candidate should have an advanced degree in one or more of the disciplines related to the core areas of responsibility, complemented by a proven track record in executive management within complex results-based organisations. He/she should have astrong appreciation of, or experience working in the development finance environment. A strong and positive reputation with the ability to build and maintain credibility within and outside of CDB is required. The position is at CDB’s headquarters which is located in Barbados.
