Canada Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Contracts

Currently we are inviting applications for the position of Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Contracts.

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Risk Management and Shared Services, the manager is responsible for providing direction and insights for strategic sourcing of major goods and services leading to cost reductions throughout the organization. The manager is also responsible for providing direction and oversight to the Request for Proposal (RFP) and Contract processes. The manager will work closely with the Manager of Procurement and Logistics to ensure goods and services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Job Functions:

The key role of the manager is: • To build strong customer service relationships with the various business units with World Vision • Provide strategic sourcing options and solutions to the various business units with an aim to improve products and services, delivery and to reduce overall costs to the organization • Build strong partnerships with external vendors and suppliers, and negotiating the best possible product/service at a fair price. • Provide oversight and direction to the Contract Specialist to ensure that all contracts will protect the interests of World Vision Canada within the risk appetite of the organization. • Develop effective and efficient processes surrounding contract processing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The successful candidate will be an individual who: • Works well with people in a cross functional relationship; • Able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; • Is an effective communicator both written and verbal; and • Has specific knowledge and skills in the area of sourcing, RFP’s and contracts.

Minimum Requirements:

A post secondary education; a procurement designation and or equivalent experience; comprehensive knowledge and experience with managing and negotiating through RFP’s and contracts; and strong ability to manage cross functional teams.
