Qualifications: Minimum two years newsroom, television, broadcast or equivalent experience. News script writing experience and professional fluency in second language strongly preferred.

Duties: The International Newsource (INS) Assignment Editor (AE) is part of a customer-service-focused team within the international desk, dedicated to supporting CNN's affiliate business and serving the international content needs of international and domestic affiliates and all CNN platforms. INS AE 's are responsible for gathering all CNN-owned and international affiliate material and constantly ensuring live and taped content is distributed to international affiliates. The AE also constantly relays international affiliate content to each of the programs of CNNE, CNN, CNNI and other News Group platforms. INS Assignment Editors use the Newsource interactive newsgathering website and web-based video delivery system to transmit video and information to and from international affiliates. AE's also build and transmit satellite feeds of video to international affiliates. The international affiliate desk team to proactively seek opportunities for CNN to partner with international affiliates in news coverage, and innovate newsgathering products and services to offer to affiliates. The AE is also responsible for keeping the affiliates aware of Newsource's daily coverage plans. This is achieved by utilizing all of Newsource's various communication tools (phone, website, wires, etc). All Editors are responsible for liaising with other departments in a 24/7 effort to turn around timely news content. All Editors are required to keep up with current events and read-in thoroughly on a daily basis.
