POSTING JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications: Minimum of five years production experience in the news television industry. Must have strong leadership skills and work well with both production crews and talent. Should have excellent research, analytical and writing skills. Superb integrity and professionalism. Must be able to work long hours under deadline pressures, and must be willing to travel.

Duties: Monitor news wires and CNN air for new stories and incremental updates to previous stories; coordinate coverage across CNN and with AM show based reporters for dot.com versions of their stories. Coordinate assignment and development of original stories and interactive elements with producers and other colleagues. Ensure that content elements are produced, that content flow is managed and that integration efforts between interactive and broadcast divisions are facilitated; produce or edit original content or wire-service or user-generated material as needed. Write headlines, teases, text as needed. Update all elements of the site and maintain regular programming features, special reports, event coverage or more, as appropriate.
