Hong Kong - Hong Kong Accountant – Accounts Payable
The team in Hong Kong provides shared services to company’s entities as well as offices in Australia and Singapore.
The role is responsible for verifying and recording vendor invoices, perform accounting review of Travel & Entertainment claims on online system and ensure compliance of such policies. The incumbent will also handle enquiries from users.
Job Responsibilities: • Verify invoices and input in accounting system (PeopleSoft Financial) – validate for correctness and completeness, maintain correct approval matrix specimen, input into accounting system, prepare reconciliation of suspense account and handle enquires from client groups. • Perform Accounting review of T&E claims on electronic travel & entertainment system – validate for proper approval, compliance of T&E policies and validate for correct expense type and allocation, educate users on correct T&E claims and cost allocation on the system. • Participate in Accounts Payable Process Improvement Projects – such as settlement by AMEX meeting card and purchasing card, centralized handling of invoices from vendors and maintain internal control in A/P working manual.
Job Requirements: • Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience. Experience in computerized accounting in multinational organizations. Familiar with PeopleSoft system (AP & GL modules) a plus. • Bachelor degree holder in Accounting / Finance, finalist in ACCA/HKICPA or equivalent professional body. • Proficiency in MS office applications. • Well-organized, patient and detail-orientated in handling high volume of data processing. • Good command of English. Strong communication skills. Able to communicate with employees and external parties. • Able to meet tight timelines. • Strong teamplayer.
