POSTING JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications: 10 years producing experience in national or major media markets required. A strong interest in politics and national security is essential. Position requires outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking, organization skills, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic. The job requires strong feature and segment producing, strong writing skills for television and online, and a thorough understanding of the news business. The person who fills this job will work on production for the National Security Unit both for television and writing for CNN.com and the unit's Security Clearance blog. Skills in field producing, interviewing, as well as research and production a must. Previous experience with off-air reporting, especially sources in the national security policy area is a significant benefit.

Duties: The successful candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of field producing and writing stories for television and online.
