POSTING JOB DESCRIPTION

Qualifications: College Degree in Computer Science or Design, or 4 years work experience supporting a Video-Graphics environment. Expert on Mac OS, Windows7 and associated MAC / PC hardware configuration. Experience supporting Windows Server or OSX servers Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, DNS. Strong knowledge of NTSC Video: compressed vs. uncompressed workflow. Ability to setup SDI routing and troubleshoot. Experience with Kona and Declink cards. Strong Knowledge of the following applications: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects; Final Cut Pro, Outlook, Microsoft Office suite. Self motivated, with ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment. Above average written & oral communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation. Adhere to procedures, utilize Remedy help desk system to document service calls and resolutions.

Duties: Own the technical management of workstations from initial configuration, to troubleshooting to planning for replacement / upgrades. Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex desktop problems; recommend and implement solutions. Maintain proper software versions and plug-in interoperability. Utilize Altiris and JAMF to manage desktops. Work with artists to create efficient methods to transfer elements between various design workstations, software and systems. Manage AD integration of desktops and User permissions for file and storage server access. Manage and support flip factory transfers to production play-out servers.
