Control Risks’ Global Risk Analysis team is seeking to grow its Africa and Middle East practices by recruiting three analysts to provide expert advice to our clients on all facets of political, security and operational risk in these dynamic, volatile and rapidly evolving frontier markets.

For the two Sub-Saharan Senior Africa Analyst roles, you will have a proven track record of working on major central and southern African markets, with expertise on The Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola a significant advantage. You should be able to consult with clients to design and deliver complex projects to tight deadlines. The ability to write and present clearly and concisely to board level is essential. You should be willing to travel frequently to the region. One of the roles will be based in Johannesburg.

As Middle East & North Africa Analyst, your role will focus mainly on North Africa and involve writing pertinent and informed analysis on the region for our subscription products and consulting with clients on the new risks and opportunities in the region. French and/or Arabic language skills are essential. Commercial experience in the region is desirable.

For all roles, a high level of academic achievement is required including at least a Master’s degree in regional or other relevant studies.
