Emergency Response Personnel (ERP) Team Leader

Save the Children’s origins lie in emergency response and it has remained central to our work ever since. Our approach integrates our emergency and development work, through the medium of our country programmes. With the increasing frequency and severity of emergencies world-wide the organisation is in the process of increasing its capacity to support programmes in both sudden onset and chronic emergency situations.

Emergency Response Personnel (ERP) staff play a key part in Save the Children in this strategy. They are deployed for medium-term assignments in various roles.

ROLE PURPOSE: To develop and manage large and complex projects or country support functions, at a national level. Furthermore, to manage large scale emergency responses at a national level. To develop and manage programmes or country support functions. To negotiate and network at a national level. To oversee the management of the strategic direction of an emergency response, in collaboration with the Country Director. To manage a budget up to £25m. Your support will play a key role in the expansion of Save the Children programmes to increase impact and enable positive change for children
