LICENSE BUSINESS PRACTICES & CONTRACT SPECIALIST GENERAL FUNCTION

The Contract Specialist’s role is to support the License and Hardware Sales force, in a multicultural environment, to conduct business in line with defined Global Business Practices by providing guidance during all phases of the sales cycle.

Manage business approval workflow.

Provide contract drafting services typically related to complex and high value transactions.

Responsibilities

• Centre of Excellence in the interpretation and applications of Oracle’s Business Practices and Pricing policies for Business Practices, through continuous learning activities.

• Provide advice regarding the approval process, work with sales in structuring deal and review the deal/request.

• Provide advice and guidance to the sales representatives to determinate the items that require approval, and the best way to prepare the approval to ensure it is approved.

• Continuous training to Sales on Business Practices and approval.

• Propose alternative solutions to the customer’s requirements that are viable from a Business Practices point of view and do not contravene Oracle’s RevRec Policies.

• From a Contracts/BP perspective Project Manage complex transactions

• Advise sales on issues affecting Revenue Recognition

• Drafting contract language where standard contract options doesn´t cover

• Draft non-standard contracts based on requests from Sales

• Liaison with Sales, Legal, RevRec, Finance and other organizations within Oracle

• Research customer accounts/Agreements for historical data and/or general account information

• Prepare order packages and enter transaction details into IT system

• Seek process improvements and streamlining opportunities Personal skills and qualifications

• Legal and/or business experience and training, ideally within the contracts field

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Well organized, detail oriented and accurate

• Ability to handle high stress situations

• Analytical aptitude and multi-tasking capability

• Excellent problem solving skills and good judgement

• Ability to adapt to constant changes to products, policies, procedures, and people

• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment under pressure

• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work through and with virtual teams
