Science journalism award open [Brazil]

Communications professionals and students in the state of Amazonas, Brazil, can compete for a science journalism prize.

The prize is offered by Fapeam, a governmental foundation that aims to stimulate science and research.

Categories are newspaper, magazine, photojournalism, TV/web TV, radio/web radio and Internet. The prize total is BRL$42,000 (about US$25,000).

Materials must have been published or broadcast in 2011.
