Sierra Leone Field Manager

Save the Children programme in Sierra Leone was established in 1999 and focused initially on providing immediate needs to children affected by war. The current programme adopts a child rights programming approach aiming to support permanent changes for children in the thematic areas of Protection, Child Rights Governance, Health and Education. The programme also works with national government authorities on policy issues to support and influence policies towards the fulfilment of children’s rights.

We are currently looking for a Field Manager who will be responsible for the day to day management of our Programmes within the Kailahun & Pujehun Districts. This includes the management of the four thematic programmes – Child Protection, Child Rights Governance, Health & Education and support services – Logistics, Finance & Human Resources. The postholder will be responsible for 2 (two) offices with more than 60 staff.

Are you a qualified professional in the field of development studies ? Do you have solid experience in the management of development programmes within developing countries? If you are an excellent team player, with great skills in managing at a distance, a consultative approach to decision making; the experience of working in challenging areas as well as the willingness to work and live within a rural environment, we would like to hear from you!
