Switzerland Manager, International and Movement Relations Unit

The Manager of the Relationship Management Unit will provide strategic leadership, coordination and management of the Relationship Management Unit.

In close coordination with zone RM coordinators, RM colleagues in Geneva as well as technical departments, he/she will ensure that RM activities led by the Secretariat are compliant with the cooperation principles established by the FWRMS and related rules of engagement.

The Relationship Management Unit is part of the Strategic Partnerships and International Relations department. The Relationship Management Unit works together with the zone resource mobilization coordinators in Africa, Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe and Middle East North Africa, to form a global resource mobilization team. The mission of the team is to support the implementation of the Federation-Wide Resource Mobilization Strategy (FWRMS), enabling all National Societies to maximize their income opportunities and thereby to realize the strategic aims of Strategy 2020. The FWRMS has three goals: 1) maintain leadership in resource mobilization for emergencies; 2) grow non-emergency income; 3) increase resource mobilization capacity of National Societies. The Strategic Partnerships and International Relations Department supports the implementation of the FWRMS by: - Leveraging the international organization status through effective relationship management and strategic partnership; - Developing a donor-centric approach through an effective knowledge management system and tools; - Promoting a culture of stewardship and accountability through quality and tailored reporting; - Strengthening the resource mobilization function in National Societies through effective training/skill sharing and strategic RM development.
