SFCG’s I.T. team is at the point of rethinking all our organizational online services. We will be redesigning our main website, as well as implementing a new integrated CRM solution. We want to take the organization to the next level in our web presence and seek a passionate individual to help us in these efforts.

The Webmaster is primarily responsible for the management of the web as an ongoing effort to bridge the diverse interests and needs across the organization. This is a customer service oriented position that requires working with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Manage organizational websites
  • Support the CRM system and email outreach efforts
  • Provide support for our Intranet site
  • Apply best practices in search engine optimization
  • Implement online advertising campaigns to increase traffic and awareness
  • Contribute to the overall branding, messaging, and other marketing and communications strategies of the organization, enhancing the online presence and overall image and awareness of SFCG
  • Provide strategic counsel on sites and email campaigns
  • Support the organization’s online fundraising efforts applying new technologies
  • Develop any necessary materials and provide training to staff on the use of websites, systems, and writing for the web
  • Assist Director in developing strategy, budgets, reports, and proposals and complement the rest of the I.T. team

Minimum Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing organizational websites, email blasts, designing for web, and managing projects
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, or other related field of study
  • Experience with online marketing and social networking, engaging, motivating, and driving readers to action
  • Experience with usability best practices, branding compliance, vendor management, software development, and web site analytics
  • Ability to create aesthetic, functional, consistent and user-friendly designs
  • Experience with e-editorial common sense and possess good web writing skills
  • Excellent project management skills

Specific Technologies

  • Experience managing Drupal and WordPress websites
  • Basic knowledge of related technologies (HTML/XHTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, XML)
  • Experience applying Google Analytics, SEO, and Google AdWords campaigns is a plus
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 2010 applications

Soft Skills

  • Ability to produce reports, spreadsheets, briefings, and presentations
  • Flexibility, creativity, initiative, and ability to multitask and manage time well
  • Excellent communicator, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Proactive, productive and creative!

These skills would be a plus…

  • Written and spoken French
  • Graphic design skills with experience designing program brochures, annual reports and collateral material
