| Main Purpose To analyse and report on the M-PESA business, using data from many sources. Using these reports to justify recommendations of how to develop the business. Job Objectives Run periodic standard business reports to support the day to day management of the business Create ad hoc reports to analyse trends, test hypotheses and make recommendations of how to better run the business Provide sales support in monitoring outlet performance and float availability Create and maintain a detailed competitor file and be the source of detailed knowledge about the competition, both in SA and key foreign competitors With the Marketing Manager and others, develop briefs for market research and brief agencies. Analyse the resulting data. Work with the product team to define reporting requirements for new functionality and to better manage existing functionality Perform all reporting testing with the product team To provide reporting on all business activities including Sales & Marketing Manage the measurement and performance of all Marketing campaigns Analyse and report on key business drivers To provide strategic intelligence to the business Provide business input into new projects Report on overall and regional business performance on a regular basis, i.e. weekly and monthly Produce Customer Trend Analysis Reports that provide insight into customer behaviour Thorough interrogation of data and information | |
| Skills: Data extraction, data transformation & data manipulation skills Analytical/research skills Planning and organising skills Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of databases Advanced knowledge of reporting tools Working knowledge of statistics and statistical software (SPSS, SAS or Statistica) Business/Industry Knowledge | |
| Education and Experience Matric / Grade 12 or SAQA Accredited Equivalent* A 3 year diploma or degree in Finance, Engineering, Commerce, Science or any related field of study with a strong requirement for data analysis and critical thinking or SAQA Accredited Equivalent* At least 3 -5 years relevant experience is essential - consisting of; Database experience (data extraction, transformation & manipulation) Analytical/research experience Reporting experience (including presentations) Telecommunications industry experience would be an advantage *Please note that the onus lies with the candidate to provide Vodacom with substantial evidence to prove that his/her qualification is equivalent to the required NQF (National Qualifications Framework) level for the specific position. | |
