Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for teaching appointments in the area of Entrepreneurship at the University of Ghana Business School.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Business Administration/Management/International Development or related field with specialty in Entrepreneurship, relating to any of the following areas:
i. Small and Medium-Scale Enterprises Strategies and Development
ii. Innovation Management
iii. Business Planning
iv. Social Entrepreneurship
v. Entrepreneurial Finance/Micro-Enterprise Finance
vi. Small Business Economics
vii. Small Business Management
Background of the Candidate:
1. Professor
The candidate must:
i. possess a PhD with specialization in one of the areas of study listed above;
ii. have considerable teaching experience in the relevant area of specialization in a reputable tertiary institution;
iii. have a strong research background and professional/industrial experience; and
iv. be recognized internationally on account of research carried out in the specialized area.
2. Associate professor
The candidate must:
i. possess a PhD with specialization in one of the areas of study listed above;
ii. have considerable teaching experience in the relevant area in a reputable institution;
iii. have a strong research background and professional/industrial experience; and
iv. have a record of outstanding scholarship in the relevant area of study.
3. Senior lecturer
The candidate must:
i. possess a PhD with specialization in one of the areas listed above;
ii. have a strong research background and professional experience;
iii. have at least four years teaching experience at the University level; and
iv. have carried out research and published articles in the relevant area in peer-reviewed journals.
For appointment to the above positions, external assessment is required.
4. Lecturer
The candidate must;
i. possess a PhD with specialization in one of the areas of study listed above; and
ii. have professional/industrial experience and a demonstrated potential for research.
