Deputy Country Director of Operations Nyaya Health Achham

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Country Director and other senior staffs to develop and implement new strategies for Nyaya Health program evolution and public engagement
• Work with the Country Director to establish and achieve aggressive operational milestones
• Set departmental and individual employee goals and provide routine evaluations of progress toward these goals
• Manage budgetary processes and tools, including financial reporting, monitoring and cost modeling
• Oversee human resource activities, including recruitment, contract negotiations and staff retention activities
• Manage and develop procurement systems and logistics
• Maintain excellent and regular communications between Nyaya affiliates, including overseas team members, Board members and staffs, ensuring Nyaya’s ability to fully leverage resource in all domains
• Provide high quality technical assistance to organizational partners and establish new partnerships as needed
• Promote Nyaya Health’s program through public speaking, writing, networking and consistent publicity
• Identify and promote professional growth opportunities for staffs
• Develop a culture of long-term engagement among international volunteers and supporters
• Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in private or public sector enterprise, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership
• Ability to commit to 24 month contract preferred; Minimum 12-month contract required
• Experience conceiving, planning and executing programs or projects with verifiable results
• Great mentor, manager and team player who demonstrates exceptionally high performance and can lead similar performance from the entire team
• Proficiency with working on highly complex problems without extensive structural or operational support
• Comfortable in a peer relationship with political and community leaders
• Ability to get things done on time and on budget
• Excellent business-oriented verbal, visual, and written communication skills
• Master’s Degree (preferably in Business) from a well-recognized, high-calibre institution is strongly preferred; Bachelor’s degree, also from a well-recognized, high-calibre institution required
• Knowledge of clinical systems is preferred
• Professional experience in Nepal is preferred
• Nepali language fluency preferred : written and oral
