Travel Manager P4 World Food Programme

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Travel Manager at the P4 level which will become available in the Travel Unit under the Management Services Division in our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.

The Travel Unit provides overall operational and management oversight of the Travel Services Section. This includes interpretation of WFP’s travel policy in order to rule on travel-related matters and take action in the best interest of the Organization. The Travel Unit manages vendor contracts ensuring compliance with the terms of the contract as well as the level of service provide to WFP and its staff members.

The travel manager is intended to overlook the entire travel services on a global scale for all WFP offices. The primary outputs expected are the review and improvement of the quality and cost efficiency of the service. This must be achieved through the design and implementation of a corporate travel strategy geared at aligning the entire structure (practice, organization, policies, etc.) towards the achievement of quality and financial objectives.
