Director - Audit and Compliance - Consumer
The Audit and Compliance Director is an experienced, proven leader who will be responsible for developing, implementing & maintaining IT Governance oversight for the Americas - Consumer Group.
This position will perform all oversight and coordination activities ensuring compliance with all AIG, Chartis Internal Audit, Chartis/AIG SoX and external regulatory agencies standards, policies and practices through effective practice review and audit program.
This individual is expected to manage all aspect of the IT Risk and Compliance activities as directed by Chartis and AIG Sr. Management.
As well, this individual will be focal on the establishment of the AIG Federal Readiness initiatives currently underway for the Chartis America Consumer IT organization.
Lastly, this individual will be responsible for the effective management of any assigned Audit and Compliance department addressing Risk, Governance or compliance for the Chartis Americas IT organization.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 7+ years of IT Risk and Compliance experience in a complex IT environment within the insurance sector.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines while adjusting program strategies accordingly.
- Must understand the "big picture," with an agile management style that focuses on achieving business goals.
- Must be an "agent of change," capable of steering an organization to a new, more productive way of thinking/executing.
- An effective communicator that thinks strategically and demonstrates strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Integrity, maturity, dependability and positive professional attitude.
- Experience in driving strategy to completion.
- Experience with Project/Program management tools, such as HP PPM & MS Project.
- Strong analytical, technical, communication and presentation skills with expertise using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Must be able to form and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Self-starter with ability to multi-task.
- Insurance industry experience preferred.
