Specialists within the water and sanitation sector in Francophone Africa

COWI is looking for a variety of short and long term specialists within the water and sanitation sector for assignments in Francophone Africa for both potential and ongoing projects. Prompt replies will be appreciated.

We are looking for three long-term technical advisors:

• A water supply and sanitation specialist in rural and urban environments
   
• An integrated water resources management (IWRM) specialist in institutional development
   
• A specialist in promotion of basic sanitation and hygiene

In addition, we are looking for a pool of short-term consultants (recurring 2 - 3 weeks assignments) within:

• IWRM (institutional aspects)
• IWRM (technical aspects)
• Master planning
• Integrated water monitoring network
• Water allocation modelling using Mike Basin

Your qualifications

The candidates should meet the following minimum general requirements:
Long-term candidates:

• BSc level or better in relevant fields
   
• 15 years of experience of which at least 10 years in Africa including francophone countries
   
• Proficient in French
   
• Experienced in institutional capacity building
   
• Budget programming experience
   
• Team leader skills will be an added advantage

Short-term candidates:

• BSc level or higher
   
• 10 years of experience of which at least 5 years in Africa including francophone countries
   
• Proficient in French
