Associate Vice President, India MFIN
Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN) is an industry association for the microfinance industry in India. Its current membership consists of 41 leading non-bank finance company microfinance institutions (NBFC-MFIs) in the country. MFIN seeks to work closely with regulators and other key stakeholders to achieve larger financial inclusions goals through microfinance.
About the Job:
MFIN is currently looking for an Associate Vice President (AVP). S/he will work cross-functionally to enhance MFIN's mission impact and help strengthen its brand on a national basis. S/he will be responsible for building and deepening relationships with industry partners, funders, consultants, government leaders, and policy makers. S/he will help plan, direct, and coordinate advocacy, communications, and developmental activities. Working closely with the CEO, this position will support MFIN leadership on how best to influence stakeholders through new ventures and strategic programs that will strengthen the microfinance industry. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with both internal and external partners to develop innovative programs focused on the evolution of the microfinance sector in India.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work with CEO and strategic program partners to build MFIN’s position as the premier industry association for the microfinance sector;
- Develop and implement strategic programs that support and align with MFIN’s brand, its mission objectives, and relationship building initiatives;
- Lead complex projects from inception to completion including partnership development, vendor management, integrated marketing, and communications tactics;
- Manage brand defining occasions and co-branding opportunities to broaden audience reach;
- Track progress against project objectives, timelines, and budgets;
- Evaluate and measure effectiveness, utilizing results to identify continuous improvement opportunities;
- Draft white papers and other relevant communication for regulators and policy makers;
- Perform other related duties, including special projects, as requested
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics, or Public Policy;
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in relevant position, financial services experience desirable;
- Experience driving thought leadership programs, event & conference planning, sponsorships, and cause marketing is strongly preferred;
- Ability to think strategically with a creative touch;
- Ability to design original content for delivery across multiple channels including social media platforms;
- Demonstrated knowledge of business to business relationships, integrated marketing communications, and product campaign strategy;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills plus presentation skills, high attention to detail is essential;
- Professionalism, diplomacy & creativity working with internal clients and external stakeholders as well as an ability to negotiate with diverse stakeholders while managing multiple requests in a timely manner;
- Collaborative spirit, works well with colleagues and leadership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment;
- Intellectual curiosity, sound problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and strength in creative and innovative thinking;
- Willingness to travel, as and when required.
