IIF Research Associate


The Institute of International Finance (IIF) is the world’s largest global association of financial institutions with over 450 members in 75 countries. We provide economic and financial analysis to our members on mature and emerging economies, market-based financial developments, and regulatory economics; serve as a forum for exchanging views and developing proposals on global regulatory issues; and represent our members from the private financial community in discussions with the public sector on global economic and financial policy issues.   
Job Description:
The IIF currently seeks an experienced professional to help support the IIF's economic research on Africa and the Middle East. Responsibilities include developing and updating annual, quarterly and monthly spreadsheet data on economic and financial developments in the regions; helping to prepare economic presentations; assisting with the production of reports, charts and tables about developments across a broad range of countries in Africa and the Middle East; undertaking research support activities on special topics of interest to the region such as oil and energy, commodities, Islamic finance, sovereign wealth funds; and supporting the department director in his capacity as Special Advisor to the Managing Director on broader issues of concern to the Institute as a whole.
Job Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have a Masters degree in international economics and at least two years professional experience in a related field. Must be fluent in English and have excellent English writing skills. Strong computer and quantitative skills required.  French and/or Arabic language skills are desirable, but are not required.
