It develops and manages financial products and services that invest in MFIs who support millions of promising small enterprises in low-income regions worldwide.

About the Job: 
BlueOrchard is looking for a Senior Vice President - Africa Regional Manager. S/he will lead the regional investment team in Africa. S/he will report to and work in close relationship with the chief credit officer (CCO).

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the lending and investing activity of the various social impact products with a primary focus on MFIs in the region;
• Responsible for overall operations and personnel management of the regional office (RO);
• Manage a pool of BlueOrchard Finance's Africa clients;
• Maintain and further develop relationships with the MFIs and manage development of new business opportunities for the RO;
• Perform financial analysis and assess credit risk of the MFIs in his/her client portfolio
• Mentor and train other staff members and provide on the job training and technical support to the staff.

Qualifications: 

• Thorough understanding of the microfinance markets, business environments, and broader economic issues in the region served by the RO and beyond;
• Must possess leadership and management skills;
• Must have thorough knowledge of BlueOrchard Finance's (BOF's) business model and processes and experience in applying BOF's methodology;
• Willing to undertake frequent international travel, primarily in Africa and the Middle East.
