VDC Manager of Modeling Services

Skanska USA Building is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager of Modeling Services for its Boston office.  This position may also be located in any other office within the U.S.  The qualified candidate will beresponsible for creating, overseeing the creation of, and procurement of Building Information Models (BIM) for use within Skanska USA Building. This role encompasses a number of related activities such as training Skanska USA Building staff in model building. This role requires proven expertise with the primary model building software utilized at Skanska USA Building: Autodesk Revit (all disciplines), AutoCAD, and AutoCAD MEP. This position will require the ability to travel throughout the US for up to 50% of the individual’s time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the building industry
• Have 5+ years of relevant experience working with BIM / VDC, preferably in the Building industry
• Expert level skill in model building, editing and reporting with Autodesk Revit (all disciplines), AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEP is required. This includes the creation of custom content libraries such as Revit Families. Experience with Autodesk Inventor is also desirable.
• Experience with Autodesk Navisworks is also required.
