As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. The role enables you to shape the product development process, organize product launches from beginning to end and form future marketing strategy.
The Head of Market Insights for Google France will lead a Paris based team to deliver best in class cross media research and consumer insights working closely with sales, marketing, clients and agency teams. You will be an innovative thinker who will drive forward new methodologies to evaluate media effectiveness and efficiency across platforms and to understand how consumers interact with our products. You have excellent marketing effectiveness and audience measurement knowledge, be well connected with research vendors and media agencies. You will be comfortable developing and implementing the research vision and strategies related to Google’s media and advertising solutions in France and represent Google research to the media and advertising industry. This role reports to the Head of Market Insights, Southern and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, who is also based in Paris.
Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic thinking on France research initiatives and execute on the plan.
  • Liaise with sales and marketing leadership to define research priorities to advance business goals.
  • Lead our largest France initiative, a cross media measurement panel, driving overall project strategy as well as partnerships with industry players and external communications.
  • Develop business-relevant conclusions from research and effectively communicate them to an audience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree in related field with a quantitative emphasis. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong leadership attitude, including proven project management skills in multi-country and high impact projects.
  • Strong experience in media planning, audience measurement and advertising effectiveness research (incl. online advertising) and expertise with a wide variety of methodologies.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills with experience of presenting research in front of large audiences.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Broad experience of local French market research with strong customer-facing, consultative expertise.
