Achelis (Tanganyika) Limited of Dar es Salaam; a part of the Achelis group of companies requires the Services of a Sales Manager for the Energy Department and a Sales Engineer for the Materials Handling Department. Both will be based in Dar es Salaam. 

1. Sales Manager – Energy Department;
The Energy department; Energy meters, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Power stations, Lighting Equipment and Projects; Transmission and Distribution Lines; Sub-Stations and related Materials and Transformers.
Key Responsibilities
· Sales by Tender and Direct Sales of Parts; Equipment and Electrification Projects; Customer visits; preparation of Quotations or Contract proposals and Contract negotiations. 
· Order Processing, Delivery and Equipment Commissioning coordination.
· Manage relationship with key customer accounts to achieve sales Objectives, Monitor Monthly and Annual Sales of Energy related plants and Equipments. 
Qualifications:
· Minimum academic qualifications: Degree in Engineering; preferably Electrical or mechanical from a recognized high learning Institution. 
· Post Graduate studies in Energy, Projects Management or MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
· Minimum experience of 10years in similar industry of which experience in a Utility organization will be preferred. 

2. Sales Engineer – Material Handling Equipments
The Materials Handling Equipments covers; Forklift, Reach Stackers, Cranes, Front end loader and any other warehouse handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Direct sales of Materials Handling Equipments: including customer visits, preparation of Quotations or Contract proposals, and Contract negotiations.
· Sales of Materials Handling Equipments Rental and Maintenance Contracts.
· Order Processing, Delivery and Equipment Commissioning coordination.
· Manage relationship with key accounts to achieve sales Objectives, Monitor Monthly and Annual Sales of Materials Handling Equipments.
· Qualifications:
Qualifications:
· Minimum academic qualification: Diploma in Engineering; preferably Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical or similar qualification from a recognized high learning Institution.
Experience:
· Minimum experience: 2years in the following areas; Sales OR Service and Maintenance of Similar Equipments.
· The incumbent must be not more than 32yrs by March 2013.
FOR BOTH positions the incumbent MUST;
· Be fluent in both ENGLISH and SWAHILI.
· Be Computer literate.
· Possess a valid driving license.

Country Director
Working in 50 developing countries across Africa, Asia and the Americas, Plan’s stated Global Strategic Goal (2011-15) is to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalised, with high-quality programmes that deliver long-lasting benefits. Plan aims to achieve this goal by working in partnership with others and through high performing teams whose behaviours reflect the corporate values. Plan has a global income of around $800m.
The latest Country Strategic Plan for Tanzania has been approved for the period 2011 – 2015. Currently the country program reaches an estimated 450,000 children in 6 program areas. It has an annual turnover of approximately US $10.7 million, a team of 166 staff, a case load of 31,521 sponsored children and a portfolio of 10 active grants.

* Plan’s work will be based on an excellent analysis of the needs of the most vulnerable children in the country and the subsequent key decisions strategic choices of programming interventions. * Plan’s work will be delivered in a cost-effective and efficient way through a highly effective team, skilled in their area of expertise, reflecting Plan’s values and compliant with the expectations as well as the policies and procedures established by Plan. * Plan in Tanzania has adequate Disaster Risk Management capacities in place and will be ready to respond to emergency situation that affect children’s rights. * Plan’s work will be well-funded, raising and using resources that make measurable impact on children’s lives * Plan will be a credible and legitimate national actor, accountable to beneficiaries and other stakeholders inside and outside of the country, and an influential organisation promoting the rights and needs of highly vulnerable children in Tanzania. * Key achievements, program learning and technical know-how of Plan Tanzania will be shared with fellow Country Offices with the aim of improving program quality and operational efficiency throughout the region and the organization as a whole.

Type of Role: 5 year fixed term contract
Reports to: Regional Director
Salary: US$60,000 to $72,000. This is an accompanied position and a full expat package will be available.

SELECTION  CRITERIA
Current  technical  knowledge  and  competency  in  the  area/s  of  specialisation;
At  least  3years  relevant  teaching  experience;

Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Demonstrated  ability  to  facilitate  and  encourage  learning  using  alternative methods;
Demonstrated  initiative,  self-motivation  and  commitment  to  teaching.

There is also an opportunity for a teacher to take on additional responsibilities in the role of matron/patron. This would be a live-in position on campus.

MINIMUM  QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants MUST have a teaching qualification recognised by the MOEVT in Tanzania. The minimum level is a Certificate of Teaching.
