The role

We are currently seeking a talented Regional Manager - Water and Dams to work closely with our other specialists in the Southern region (Victoria and South Australia).

With a minimum of 15 years commercial experience in details, you will play a key role in:

1.  Strategic planning and management

2. Providing leadership to the employees located in the region to ensure cohesion, optimal performance, resourcing, retention and professional development

3. Client relationship management (CRM) and business development (BD) activity.

4.  Providing expert advice and demonstrating advanced technical skills, ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC

5. Provide project governance, at project director level, of project management in the region .

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Tertiary degree in the related discipline
• Local Victorian experience with strong networks with Melbourne Water, Melbourne water retail companies and with private sector clients. The ideal candidate can equally have a Water or a Dams background.
• A proven track record of achievement in Business Development.
• The ability to build relationships within SMEC and with clients.
• Excellent project management skills.
