The role

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to work closely with our other specialists in our Gippsland office.
With a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering design and/or construction, you will:
  • Have overall responsibility for the operation and staffing of the Gippsland Region Engineering Group.
  • Oversee technical areas and operational activities for all engineering projects
  • Monitor and update technical documents and standards used by Engineering team
Suitable applicants will have/be:
  • 10+ years experience in engineering design and/or construction with at least 5 years' experience in design of Civil engineering infrastructure, and at least 5 years in a consulting or contracting environment in Australia
  • 5+ years experience in scheduling, mentoring and managing staff.
  • A track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Proven project management capability (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client technical requirements) across multiple simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and capability in commercial/financial tasks such as pricing  and  writing submissions, invoicing and debtor management
  • An in-depth understanding of the business / organisation / marketing aspects of urban development and broadly-based engineering consulting across a range of industries and technical disciplines
  • Strong reporting and communication skills
