Lecturer in Humanitarianism & Conflict Response (HUM/11902)
Salary: £32,751 – £35,788 per annum
This lectureship is intended to provide research-informed teaching as well as related research activity in the Institute. You must have, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant discipline and have a record of, or potential to produce, publications in internationally recognised outlets. Relevant areas of research include (but are not limited to) humanitarian intervention, disaster management, post-war reconstruction, conflict analysis, peace studies, displacement, securitisation, emergency assistance, anthropology, donor policy, NGO programming, critical terrorism studies and development theory, but greater consideration may be given to those applicants whose research connects with an aspect of medical practice (broadly conceived). Experience of curriculum design, successful applications for research funding and post-graduate teaching are also desirable.
This two-year appointment will begin on 1 June 2011.
