Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching practical and theoretical aspects of Print Journalism. S/he will supervise the production of a student newspaper; an intentional teaching tool in the department. It will be an advantage if s/he can also teach any two of the following: News Reporting and Writing, Editing, Desktop Publishing, Newspaper Design and Media in Botswana. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic standing and good reputation of the Department of Media Studies by engaging in research, publications and external professional activities.

Requirements: Candidates should possess: (i) a PhD, in Media Studies, journalism or a related field, with specialization in print (ii). Show evidence of engagement in research (iii) have evidence of service to the university, the profession and the community. Experience in managing a student newspaper is a requirement. University teaching experience will be an added advantage while professional experience in some area of the print media industry would be a strong added advantage. Citizens will be given preference
