Programme Coordinator, IEN Tiri (Tiri)

Main tasks and responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
· Under guidance of Senior Programme Manager, maintains ongoing contact with partner
institutions, academics and donors, including administrative/financial monitoring & support of field
staff/consultants.
· Assists Senior Programme Manager to manage work in one or more countries, from inception
(strategy, planning, budgeting) to completion (implementation, monitoring, evaluation) incl. travel
as needed. Provides administrative, financial and logistical support to ensure efficiency and impact.
· Works together with Tiri staff outside of IEN to maximise effectiveness of cross-cutting projects,
including major country-specific and regional projects
· Assists in the preparation of grant proposals and reports, internal and external.
· Assists in preparation and implementation of budgets including processing and tracking payments,
gathering and filing documentation, and correspondence.
· Uses the Grants Management System extensively to update, maintain and analyze project data and
support other IEN staff in their use of the system.
· Develops and manages the internal filing system for IEN including updating of grant and MoU files;
drafting letters of commitment and contracts; verification and timely follow-up and tracking of all
office-related payment requests.
· Under the guidance of the Senior Programme Manager and/or Programme Director, helps to
conceptualize, plan and implement projects and tasks such as coordinating meetings, contributing
to online learning, documenting best practices in events planning, conducting background research
on regions/cultures, etc. as needed.

Qualifications/Skills required
· Professionalism and professional competence, with attention to detail, particularly in finance and
database work.
· Administrative skills, including the use of web-based tools.
· Flexibility and adaptability with a positive attitude.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
· Ability to work under pressure on various concurrent assignments with changing priorities.
· Fluency in written and spoken English.
· Knowledge of other languages is desirable.
