Our client

Our client is a major consumer and healthcare company operating in more than 250 countries.In order to support its Consumer business in Italy, our client now seeks to hire a Senior Legal Counsel (m/f) for its offices near Rome, Italy.

Description of the vacancy

• You will be responsible for in-house legal support in respect of the company’s Consumer business in Italy. As such, you will be in charge of all the legal issues for the business and you will be required to draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts.
• You will have a close working relationship with all colleagues of the Legal Department in Europe and in the US.
• Your working languages will be Italian and English.
• You will report to the head of legal EMEA for the Consumer sector.

Profile

• You hold a Master degree from an Italian University, obtained with excellent academic credentials.
• You have at least 6 years of experience as a lawyer (acquired preferably as an associate at a major law firm and, if possible, also as in-house counsel). Experience in the consumer goods industry is an asset, but not required.
• You have a good knowledge and understanding of commercial law (consumer law, product liability, advertising & marketing etc), competition law, compliance and regulatory law.
• International experience and multi-cultural exposure are strong assets.
• Your mother tongue is Italian and you are fluent in spoken and written English.
• You have a strong intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, ability to collaborate in a team, self-awareness and adaptability.
• You have a high level of professionalism, integrity and commitment.
