Accountant Management Sciences for Health (MSH)
Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is an international non-profit, public health organisation with headquarters in USA, whose purpose is to strengthen health programs worldwide. MSH Uganda is currently running a number of USAID and other donor funded projects, both in Kampala and other parts of the country including SURE and STRIDES.
SURE (Securing Ugandans' Right to Essential Medicines) will ensure that the population of Uganda has access to adequate quantities of good quality essential medicines and health supplies (EMHS) by strengthening the national essential medicines and health commodities supply system.
STRIDES for Family Health strengthens the capacity of the health system in fifteen (15) selected districts in Uganda to make them fully functional and able to deliver quality integrated reproductive health/family planning (RH/FP) and child survival (CS) services to the people in need of these services.
MSH now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions in the SURE and STRIDES projects:
2. Accountant - Kampala • SURE Program Overall responsibilities:
• Provides accounting support to the SURE Project
• Ensures that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with USAID and MSH financial policies and procedures
• Safeguards the assets of MSH against fraud, loss or damage
• Ensures that all accounting and financial records are made in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and MSH policies and regulations.

Job requirement
Qualifications:
1) Degree in Accounting from a recognized University
2) At least 3 years relevant experience in large international or organizations
3) Excellent interpersonal skills
4) Ability to work independently, take initiative and ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
5) Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, and in QuickBooks Accounting packages preferred
