Economic Justice Programme Lead

The role Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the overall portfolio of ongoing partnerships and projects in the EJ programme in close collaboration with the responsible project teams and other staff as well as with various Oxfam affiliates representatives involved in the EJ programme • Be responsible for overall integration of the Economic Justice operational plan and be accountable to the Oxfam Country Leadership Team, to Oxfam affiliates and external donors for the overall performance of the EJ programme; this includes responsibility to lead planning, reporting and evaluation of the EJ overall programme; • Assure further internal Oxfam integration, linking and learning for the further development and strengthening of the joint portfolio on Economic justice: this includes active search and applications for external funding opportunities in collaboration with the other team and affiliates. • Play a key networking role in connecting Oxfam with partners and allies in national level and donors • Have main responsibility for the further development and implementation of the planned objective 2 of the EJ plan: Fairer and more equitable market access for poor men and women: improving social, economic and environmental sustainability, labour conditions and respect for human rights in the private sector, including value chains in key commodities. This programme is intended to establish Indonesia as a key learning country for Oxfam International’s engagement with the private sector. • Play a key role in assuring coordination, linking and learning towards the other main programmes in Oxfam in Indonesia: Rights in Crises, and Gender Justice. • Provide capacity building for the team and affiliates to ensure that there will be adequate internal capacity to deliver the operational plan. • Ensuring all Oxfam’s work addresses gender inequality, including assisting NGO/partners in mainstreaming gender equality in the overall programme cycle (planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)

Key Competencies • At least 10 years experience in sustainable livelihoods and economic justice programme and project work with at least 3 years of policy and management responsibilities • Education to a degree level in a relevant discipline. • Analytical skills with knowledge and good understanding on global, national and local development issues.
• Ability to lead complex and multi-cultural organisations • Working fluency in both written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English • Computer literacy • Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel frequently within countries and overseas. • Commitment to Oxfam’s overall aims and beliefs, including equal opportunities and gender equity in all aspects of Oxfam’s work.
