Environmental Compliance Specialist

International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI) provides consulting services in developing countries for projects funded by international donor organizations. IBTCI is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist for a 3-week to one month STTA assignment on an on-going USAID Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Project in Yemen. Interested consultants must be available to start and mobilize by the 10th of October 2011.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct training for project staff, USAID staff, other USAID implementers and ROYG counterparts in USAID environmental compliance, verification instruments and procedures, and regulations producing and implementing IEEs and EAs and the PERSUAP.

• Verify environmental compliance of USAID projects and activities.

• Activity-level environmental compliance will be conducted in order to satisfy USAID’s requirements for activity-level environmental compliance reporting (ADS 204).

Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years experience

• Previous experience developing environmental compliance methods and tools and training for USAID;

• Knowledge of activity-level environmental compliance reporting ADS 204 • Previous training experience;

• Previous experience working with diverse staff in culturally challenging situations;

• Working knowledge of computer software to include Microsoft word, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.;

• Excellent Writing Skills

• Fluent in English
