ERP Logistics Manager

Save the Children’s origins lie in emergency response and it has remained central to our work ever since. Our approach integrates our emergency and development work, through the medium of our country programmes. With the increasing frequency and severity of emergencies world-wide the organisation is in the process of increasing its capacity to support programmes in both sudden onset and chronic emergency situations. Emergency Response Personnel (ERP) staff play a key part in Save the Children in this strategy. They are deployed for medium-term assignments in various roles including:

• An emergency response where Save the Children is scaling up and we need immediate emergency expertise • Providing surge capacity to a country programme by either filling a vacant position and/or adding further skills and experience to country programmes • Capacity building of individuals and/or country programmes to ensure that programmes are being run effectively

The ERP Logistics Manager has to provide advice at a local or district level to the community or government, generally on specific single issues. Specialist management of complex projects at national level for a large country programme, or at a sub-national level for extraordinary emergency response. Managing a budget of up to £10m. Your support will play a key role in the expansion of Save the Children programmes to increase impact and enable positive change for children.
