EU Affairs Coordinator Rolls-Royce
Brussels
Competitive salary
Rolls-Royce is a global provider of power systems for use on land, at sea and in the air with leading positions in the aerospace, marine and energy markets. We invest in technologies that can be applied to products and services in every global market we serve.
We are enlarging our EU Affairs team in Brussels. The EU Affairs office is responsible for our relations with the European Union institutions and for retaining contacts with other relevant stakeholders in Brussels such as interest and trade associations. The office monitors and informs the company of policy and regulatory developments with a business impact. It also represents the company towards EU regulators and related stakeholders and provides strategic advice to the company on EU-related issues.
To help monitor EU issues of relevance to Rolls-Royce, prepare and organise meetings and help prepare internal EU Affairs newsletters, we are seeking a professional with EU experience. You have preferably worked in the European Parliament and have gained a good understanding of the internal workings of the European Parliament. You will support the Vice President and the Manager with research material and analysis with a view to becoming responsible for your own areas.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has a thorough knowledge of and interest in the workings of the EU
- Thrives on the challenge of working in a small satellite office of a big global company. The office is part of many internal and external networks so you should be able to work independently as well as be a team player and should be able to cope with several issues at one time
- Has strong analytical and communication skills and is MS Office-literate
- Takes an interest in industrial policy and manufacturing-related issues
- Has strong language skills (English fluency both written and spoken, and good command of French as a minimum – knowledge of another European language would be an asset)
- Is conscientious, flexible, cooperative and positive
This position will give you the opportunity to work for a UK-headquartered global player with a significant pan-European presence and activities across several sectors impacted by EU policies and regulation. Compensation according to credentials and experience.
We are unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to live and work in the EU. Candidates from outside the EEA are therefore encouraged to explore immigration routes which will allow them to work in the EU without such sponsorship. In the recruitment process all candidates are required to provide the necessary right to work information and documentation.
We are an equal opportunities employer.
