Payment method: R750.00 per full qualification
R300.00 per skills programme

Reporting to the Manager: Provider Accreditation, the successful candidate will evaluate the step two provider accreditation application forms and Learning Programme for Full Qualifications and Skills Programmes. Key performance areas:

  • Evaluate applications for provider accreditation
  • Evaluate learning programmes
  • Facilitate adherence to terms of the Memoranda of Understanding in relation to the evaluation of learning programmes carried out in partnership with other ETQAs/Councils
  • Liaise with other ETQA managers and the RIME division regarding provider support and development to ensure quality promotion and continued compliance with accreditation requirements.


Minimum requirements:

  • Registration as an Assessor and Moderator
  • A relevant qualification in line with the HWSETA qualification for evaluation (list available on the HWSETA Website)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the evaluation of learning programmes
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Moderator in the qualification applied for, with a proven track record
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in material development aligned to NQF qualification
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, the Internet, etc)
  • Own vehicle
  • An understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to skills development and quality assurance
  • Knowledge of education and training provider accreditation
  • Knowledge of the health and/or social development sector would be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good customer liaison skills
  • Good facilitation, presentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally
  • The ability to work in a team-orientated environment.


Note: The position is offered on a non-permanent contract basis for a period of 2 years, subject to performance.
