Come to UNE to join the exercise and sport science and psychology disciplines. We have an enviable record of research and teaching, and provide one of Australia’s most successful and well-established programs in distance learning. The disciplines have over 20 academic staff, technical and administrative support and an extensive range of teaching, library, computing and research facilities.
The successful applicant will conduct research, supervise honours and PhD students, and contribute to the teaching of our programs in sports science and psychology, including skill acquisition and motor control, and sport psychology. Applicants must possess a PhD (or be nearing completion) in sport psychology or related discipline and have relevant academic experience to teach, undertake research, and preferably have experience in supervision of honours or higher degree student projects. Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) accreditation is highly desirable.
This position would ideally suit someone who wishes to retain their career focus while also having the desire for a life-style change in beautiful Armidale, New England. Armidale is surrounded by world heritage national parks, is only 2 hours from the mid north coast and is a unique country town that offers all the facilities of a city. Salary: A$77,416 to A$91,751 per annum (Lecturer) plus 17% employer superannuation and optional salary packaging
