Coordinating web editor for the international Hivos website
| The web editor has the final responsibility for setting up and maintaining the new international Hivos website and shared responsibility for the further development of the website together with the web coordinator. He or she will also initiate and coordinate the website. In the early stages the web editor's activities will mainly consist of testing, searching, writing or re‑writing, publishing content and maintaining contacts with all the international Hivos offices. In the progress of time the position will involve a coordinating role, as the Hivos regional offices may take on part-time web editors. In addition to coordinating the regional web editors, the international web editor will continue to have final responsibility for the text and development of the website. The web editor will monitor the house style and tone of voice of the website. He or she will work in close cooperation with the two web editors for the Dutch website and the public relations officer within the Marketing and Communications department. | ||
| Functie-eisen | ||
| English is your native language and you are also proficient in Dutch; Good knowledge of Spanish is an asset; You have at least three to five years' relevant experience as an editor-in-chief or coordinating web editor with an international organisation. You have completed a relevant Higher Professional Education study programme; You are a self-starter and decisive; You have a demonstrable interest in development cooperation; You can seize opportunities to bring the work of Hivos and its partners to the attention of relevant international audiences online; You have experience with relevant web software (CMS/photography); You work extensively with social media and follow related developments on the web. | ||
