As one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK, we have recently launched an ambitious five year strategy to ensure that we remain at the forefront of innovation in Higher Education, build on our reputation for working with our region, and expand our contribution nationally and internationally.

We are seeking to appoint a Director of Quality Assurance to lead on the development and implementation of a progressive academic quality assurance and enhancement framework, that will enable us to deliver a flexible and relevant curriculum to our diverse range of students. Reporting to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Student Experience, the new Director will work collaboratively with academic leaders, students, professional bodies and the Quality Assurance Agency to deliver this agenda, promote best practice and embed the principles of continuous improvement in our quality assurance systems.

You will bring a customer focused approach to the role, along with extensive experience of quality assurance and enhancement practice in Higher Education. The ability to deliver organisational change, translate strategic priorities into practical outcomes and build effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders are also key aspects of this senior post.
