We are looking for staff with current knowledge and experience in practice, as specialist teaching is required in the some areas such as digital and CAD skills, in materials technology and professional skills. Some teaching experience, and the ability to teach in the studio supported by a broad knowledge of interior design and architecture, is desirable. This new post offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and to develop new ideas towards a centre of excellence in teaching and research.

The Portsmouth School of Architecture offers well established undergraduate courses in Architecture and Interior Design and has developed new postgraduate programmes in Sustainable Architecture, Interior and Urban Design to complement existing postgraduate courses the Diploma in architecture and MA Professional Practice reflecting areas of specialist staff research and teaching.

We are seeking inspiring teachers, well-qualified persons with some teaching experience in higher education, and a record of success in design practice. Applicants should be able to contribute to the current debates in architectural education around sustainable urban design, be interested in innovative practice based research, whilst encouraging experimentation in student work.
