J/P HRO ; a non-profit organization dedicated to help lift the nation of Haiti out of the rubble and give the Haitian people a better life, is seeking experienced professionals for several exciting opportunities as part of its response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Description:

The M&E and Organizational Development Officer will be responsible for overseeing JP HRO programs and projects, both new and established, providing accountability and ensuring efficiency and success from start to finish. S/he will monitor and evaluate initiatives in the context of J/P HRO strategic planning and lead advisory missions within the organization to implement the improvements needed. S/he will be responsible for establishing and monitoring key performance indicators to report and record physical progress, ensuring agreed deliverables are met as well as submitting regular progress reports to the Director of Programs. This is an important role; translating strategic direction into plans and objectives, streamlining and guiding JP HRO projects to ensure all are working effectively towards common goals within the different departments and maintaining excellence at every level.

Responsibilities:

Assess organizational and performance gaps within the different programs and report on corrective actions needed Conduct internal advisory projects to improve organizational performance, ensuring proper change management for long-lasting impact on J/P HRO activities Assist Program Managers and the Program Development team for new project proposals, particularly for the formulation of baseline measures and targets Implement key performance indicators and deliverables for both new and established projects and monitor them throughout the duration of the projects Clarify the core information needs of management and provide relevant and timely information to the Director of Programs and the Country Director Assist programs in the creation and updates of their standard operating procedures Document the lessons learned and best practices of the different programs

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Information Management, Engineering or other relevant academic background (essential), Master’s Degree (desirable) At least 5 years of relevant work experience (essential), background in a consulting role (desirable) Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports Strong quantitative skills Good level of proficiency in Excel Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Monitoring and evaluation experience (desirable) English (essential), French, Creole (desirable) Experience in a non-governmental organization (desirable)
