SENIOR LECTURER: INNOVATION MANAGEMENT POLICY
The Wits Business School is situated on a self-contained campus in Johannesburg, the heart of the South African commercial and industrial world. The mission of the school is to provide a broad range of high quality management education through its extensive academic and executive programme.
Wits Business School invites applications for specialists in the areas of Innovation Management and/or Innovation Policy(Senior Lecturer) with the ability to teach on the specialist Master of Management in the field of innovation studies and other relevant postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to provide support in research supervision and in the planning and coordination of the MM innovation studies programme. S/he will be integrated into the dynamic research community that exists at Wits on matters related to understanding the nature of innovation processes, at national level and within firms. Candidates with experience in the emerging field of innovation for adaptation and resilience will be highly regarded. This appointment is a pat time position on the School’s academic staff
Qualifications: A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (management, development studies, science and technology policy, technology management, public policy, environmental policy or innovation studies) and evidence of research are required. A proven track record in management education and research is important. Previous teaching experience in relevant areas is essential.
