Afghanistan Executive Director

Minimum Education Required: Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting or related field.

Experience Required: Minimum of five years hospital administration experience; knowledge of developing country settings and/or previous cross-cultural experience; international travel experience.

Responsible To: Vice President of Operations CURE International

Supervises: All hospital staff members, CURE Kabul

Skills, Characteristics Required for Position: Ability to assess risk, implement strategy, select people and measure performance; excellent conflict management and problem solving skills; excellent communications, public relations and listening skills; demonstrated ability to cope with and manage change; understanding of IT systems and inventory management; ability to build and maintain relationships with people of diverse backgrounds; emotionally mature and self motivated. Fluency in English.

Summary: The Executive Director (ED)provides for the operational, financial and social oversight of the hospital and is the primary spokesperson and representative of the hospital in the medical, business and communities and with CURE U.S. headquarters. The Executive Director serves as the primary administrative liaison with the government and non-government entities within the country.
